Mrs. Warwick joined brown. in January 2007. She has experience in complex insurance coverage matters involving employment disputes, derivative actions, and construction matters from across the country. Her experience in this area includes coverage analysis and defense monitoring of multiple matters involving claims over $1 million and extending up to $26 million. In addition, she has represented clients in complex corporate cases. Heather's experience includes responding to an EEOC charge that was subsequently dismissed by the Commission as well as drafting and filing various motions and Memoranda of Law for complex corporate matters.
Mrs. Warwick received her Juris Doctor with honors in December 2006 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law. Ms. Warwick graduated from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She also completed a second major in Psychology.
Prior to attending law school, Mrs. Warwick served as a Senior Analyst in Bank of America's Consumer Risk Management division. Among her responsibilities were managing the bank's consumer loan decisioning system and processes for various lines of businesses, participating in workgroups to determine the bank's response to nationwide and state-specific lending legislation, and implementing internal credit policy changes. Prior to that, she was a project analyst for Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), where she managed project teams of up to 50 people and project timelines lasting over six months.
Mrs. Warwick is admitted to practice in North Carolina.
